Ever drop your phone in water? It’s more common than ever before. If your phone happens to endure a bath, here a few help tips.
1. Turn off the phone. If off, resist powering on.
2. Place it in a sealed container or bag of rice.
3. Leave it for a day or so. It’s important to give the rice enough time to soak up all of the moisture.
Pop ups can range between innocent offers from specific sites to full on misleading content with the intent to spy on, infect or capture data. A simple wrong click could result in an unnecessary IT bill.
The best way of getting rid of pop ups is to do the following.
Following a pop up:
1. Hit “CTRL-ALT-DEL”.
2. Click “Task Manager”.
3. Select the app; normally a browser instance.
4. Click “End Task”.
Repeat if there are multiple pop ups.
Letting a system battery die in sleep mode could land a computer into a vicious sleep cycle. This happens when the battery does not pass the power on self-test. In such an event, a computer may become stuck in a boot loop or may not power on at all. Long term wise, this could lead to hard drive damage, file corruption or both.
